Who is Abraham?
His Birth
The prophet Abraham was born among a disbelieving people who do not worship Allah, but there are those who worship idols and stones, there are those who worship the sun and stars, and there are those who worship rulers and Kings, and Abraham's father used to make idols as a God, and thus, Abraham (peace be upon him) was raised among a family that worships idols, and even makes them, yet he was not affected by what his father does at all, and never prostrated himself to an idol.
At the age of thirteen, the prophet of Allah, Abraham, was greatly surprised by the worship of his people and his people to gods made of Stones, who do not fatten and do not satisfy hunger, and Abraham, peace be upon him, whenever he abandoned himself, he was thinking, Where is Allah, you see. Once, while looking at the sky, he saw a planet shining in the sky at night, so Abraham shouted peace be upon him, I have found God! He was glad that he found God, and he kept praying to him, but in the morning, he looked up at the sky, he did not find the planet, only to realize then that he was not God because he disappeared, and the situation with the moon was repeated, and when he did not find him in the morning, he knew that he was not God, and Abraham grieved peace be upon him.
The situation was repeated with the sun, and he said This Is My lord, this is bigger and better, and when it dawned, Abraham (peace be upon him) realized that the planets, the moon and the sun are not gods.
His Call
Then he realized that God does not see, and after he reached that conviction, a revelation came to the prophet Abraham from Jibril (peace be upon him), and he said to him, Aslam, and Abraham said I surrendered to the Lord of the worlds, and thus Abraham (peace be upon him) believed in the Lord of the worlds.
After the revelation descended on Abraham (peace be upon him), he returned to call his people, and he started with his father, so he went to him and said to him, Allah Almighty has sent me, invite people to the religion of Islam, and I would like to start the call with you, dad, so his father got angry and said, ' I worship the one God and leave all these gods, and Abraham said, Dad, why do you worship idols neither hears nor sees! The father's reaction was severe! He was angry at the rebellion of his young son, and warned him that if he continued to disobey, he would stone him to death, and even expel him from the house, and when Abraham (peace be upon him) found that there was not point in convincing his father.
Abraham (peace be upon him) was determined to destroy the idols, and during the gathering of the people of his city in celebration of them, he went to the temples, and there were offerings and tables in front of the idols, and the prophet Abraham addressed them sarcastically, why you do not eat and why you do not pronounce, and then he took up his axe and began to destroy all the idols except the great one, he left him intact.
The people of Abraham came to the temple, and they saw what happened in their idols, and instead of asking how the gods could not defend themselves, and how the chief of the gods could not defend them, and he is God in their eyes, but they were very angry, and they began to look for the perpetrator, and they realized that it was Abraham (peace be upon him) because he invited them to leave idolatry.
The people asked to call Abraham (peace be upon him), and asked him if he was the one who did this to the idols, and he replied that the one who did this was the elder of the idols, because he was the only one who was still healthy, and he asked his people to ask him what he had done. The people answered him, how can we ask him and he is an idol that does not pronounce! He said to them, have you seen these gods do not speak, you worship them, where are your minds! At that moment his people realized their error, but their pride did not allow them to confess, but ordered Abraham to be burned.
The king of the city inhabited by Abraham and his people ordered Abraham to be brought to burn him in front of the eyes of the people, and Abraham did not stop talking to God, until they lit a fire, and put him in it, and Gabriel (peace be upon him) descended from heaven, and said, O Abraham, do you need anything And Abraham said, but not to you, and Gabriel said to him, ask your Lord, and Abraham said, it is my suffice of my question informed him about me, and Allah commanded that the fire be a cold and peace response to Abraham. The fire obeyed the command of Allah Almighty, and Abraham was at peace sitting in the middle of it without suffering or feeling it, and our master Abraham continued to thank Allah, praise him and praise him. His people noticed that our master Abraham was alive while he was in the fire, and they said that he was a magician, and then the people of Abraham kept harassing him and never obeyed him.
Allah said in Holy Quran:
And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgment before, and We were of him well Knowing. (21:51). When he said to his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are devoted?” (21:52). They said, “We found our fathers worshippers of them.” (21:53). He said, “You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error.” (21:54). They said, “Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?” (21:55). He said, “Rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify. (21:56). And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away.” (21:67). So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question]. (21:58). They said, “Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers.” (21:59). They said, “We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham.” (21:60). They said, “Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify.” (21:61). They said, “Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?” (21:62). He said, “Rather, this – the largest of them – did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak.” (21:63). So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], “Indeed, you are the wrongdoers.” (21:64). Then they reversed themselves, [saying], “You have already known that these do not speak!” (21:65). He said, “Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?” (21:66). “Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?” (21:67). They said, “Burn him and support your gods – if you are to act.” (21:68). Allah said, “O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham.” (21:69). And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers. (21:70).Abraham with the Angels
The story of Abraham's encounter with the Angels is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an in several places, where the Angels came to him as missionary visitors, and it was good for him to honor the guest, he hurried and brought them food to eat, and when they refrained from eating, he felt fear and distrust of them, so they told him that they were messengers of Allah- To the people of Loot, on whom the punishment of Allah is due, Abraham reviewed them in that, because among them are loot (peace be upon him), and his people, and they are believers، So they preached to him and his wife, beginning with the children of Abraham (peace be upon him), and they told him that Allah would give them Isaac (peace be upon him), and after Isaac Jacob (peace be upon him), his heart was at rest, and he reassured them, and then he returned arguing with them about the torment of Loot's people, and they replied to him that this is done and the controversy is over.
His Migration
Abraham (peace be upon him) and his wife Sarah, and his nephew Loot (peace be upon him) went out to the Levant, and it was said that he went down to Harran fleeing his religion to pray to Allah and worship him, so he stayed there for a while, but this country was exposed to drought and hunger, so he (peace be upon him) and his family went to Egypt.
Egypt was ruled by a mighty king, and he heard of the arrival of one of the most beautiful women of mankind to Egypt, he was greedy and wanted to take her for himself, and he sent his army, and they broke into Abraham's tent and kidnapped his wife, and took her to Pharaoh's Palace, and she kept praying to Allah to save her from him, and to have patience with her and her husband Abraham.
The king of Egypt tried to attack Sarah, but she kept praying to Allah to protect her from him audibly, so he immediately felt severe pain in his stomach that drove him away from her, and asked Sarah to pray to him for healing, so she prayed to Allah to heal him, so that his pain would go away and come back to approach her, to return to pray finally he asked her to pray for her, she prayed, and finally blah stopped her for fear of her.
The king ordered that they return Sarah to Abraham, he was afraid of her, and before they took her to Abraham (peace be upon him), the king ordered that he give Sarah a gift, because of the literature, modesty and Miracle of healing he saw from her, so he gave her a princess with a good and noble lineage, and she is Hagar, Sarah said, I pledge before my Lord to fear Allah in Hagar and take care of her with love. Sarah returned with Hagar, and Hagar became her maid and lived with them, not knowing that she would be Ishmael's mother!
Loot's departure
Allah's message to Loot came from Abraham, by going to the people of Sodom, but Abraham, peace be upon him, went to Al-Quds, and there he felt lonely, so he prayed to Allah to give him a righteous offspring, and Sarah heard his prayer, and she grieved and suffered because she could not fulfill his dream of a boy.
The Second Miracle
While the prophet of Allah Abraham was sitting contemplating the kingdom of Allah, Allah addressed to show him how to revive the dead, and Gabriel came down and said to him that Allah asks you, or do you not believe Abraham replied, Yes, but to reassure my heart, he said to him that Allah is telling you, take 4 of the bird and select the birds for him, namely the Rooster, Peacock, Dove, and Crow, and asked him to chop them and mix them in a pot, until the organs of all were abducted, and revelation ordered him to put each part of the meat on a mountain, and then to invite them to come to him in pursuit, and here the second miracle of Allah's Prophet Abraham started, where the soul returned to the birds.
Allah said in the Holy Quran
And [mention] when Abraham said, “My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.” [Allah] said, “Have you not believed?” He said, “Yes, but [I ask] only that my heart may be satisfied.” [Allah] said, “Take four birds and commit them to yourself. Then [after slaughtering them] put on each hill a portion of them; then call them – they will come [flying] to you in haste. And know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.” (2:260).
Abraham's Marriage to Hagar
After Hagar grew up, Sarah married her to Abraham (PBUH), may Allah bless him with good offspring, and she gave a baby to Abraham, our Master Ismael (PBUH).
When Abraham's wife Sarah became jealous, Allah ordered him to go with his wife Hagar and his son Ismael to the Hejaz, and to leave them there, leaving them dates and water, and he was worried about them, but this is Allah's command, so Hagar followed him and said : O Ibrahim, Where Are you going and leave us in this valley where there is no man and nothing And she said that to him repeatedly and he made him not pay attention to her, and she said to him, ' Allah, told you to do this?' He said: yes, and she said : then Allah will not waste us, and then she returned, and Abraham returned to Sarah and reassured her that Hagar and her son are in Allah's care.
Hagar ran out of water and dates in her possession, and her infant Ishmael began to starve, and she was afraid that her son would die of thirst, and she began to look at the nearest mountain, and she began to climb to Safa, and turned right and North, she did not see anyone, and she began to look at the nearest mountain next to Safa mountain, to find Mount Marwa, so she ran towards it looking for someone to help, and she kept going between Safa and Marwa 7 runs, looking for what will find for her son.
Hagar heard a voice, and she said, I have heard if you have any help, and she found Gabriel is with her son Ishmael, then he hit the ground with his wing, and the Zamzam Springs, and Hagar rejoiced with water, so she drank from it and her son, and she praised Allah for what he blessed her with.
This water was called Zamzam water from the blessings of Zamzam water; that Allah chose to spring it by Gabriel-peace be upon him-in order to glorify and honor it, Zamzam was the first reason for the architecture of the Haram House and the emergence of a decent life in Mecca, and this water does not run out over time; no matter how used and watered from it.
Abraham's Guests
3 guests came to the prophet of Allah Abraham, and the people of the village were shocked by their beauty, but they did not see the most beautiful than them, and Abraham (peace be upon them) refused to be honored by anyone other than him, prepared food for them himself, put food in front of them, and they did not eat, he said, ' Don't you eat?' They said to him, do not be afraid, we are the messengers of your Lord, we have been sent to Loot's people.
Abraham's guests heralded the birth of Isaac, and then the birth of Abraham's and Hagar's grandson Jacob.
And Sarah was surprised, and she said, ' Am I Old?' The Angels replied to her, saying, Wonder at God's command!
Allah said in the Holy Quran:
And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf. (11:69). But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot." (11:70). And his wife was standing, and she smiled. Then we gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob. (11:71). She said, "Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Indeed, this is an amazing thing!" (11:72). They said, "Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable." (11:73). And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him, he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot.
Abraham's dream
Abraham (peace be upon him) went to Hajar and her son Ishmael, and Ishmael was 14 years old, and at night, Abraham (peace be upon him) saw in a dream that he was slaughtering his son Ishmael, and the dream of the prophets was true and should apply it in reality.
Abraham did not hesitate to carry out the command of Allah, despite the difficulty of this affliction for him, and the Devil went to Ishmael to whisper to him and say to him, when he realized that Allah had ordered him to do that, so Ishmael (peace be upon him) grabbed seven stones and stoned Satan with them, and Ishmael said, you are Satan. He also went to whisper for Hajar, but she told him, this is God's command and stoned him too.
When he began to slaughter Ishmael, his Lord called out to him to untie Ishmael, and his Lord redeemed him with a great slaughter, and he is a Ram. Abraham said goodbye to Hajar and her son, and told her that he would return to check on them later, and Ishmael (peace be upon him) continued to invite people to worship Allah and left idolatry, and married one of the Daughters of Amalek, but Khalil Allah wandered the land of Allah for the invitation and did not settle in a specific place.
The story of the Prophet Abraham and the House of God (Ka`aba)
The revelation came down to Abraham (peace be upon him), and told him to lift the rules from the house, and to cleanse my house for the cultistsn and kneeling prostrate, and the revelation told him about the Lord of the worlds that this house that you are going to build is the House of Allah, and the revelation informed him about the place of the house, and he began to build it with Ishmael (peace be upon him). When the construction of the Kaaba was completed, Allah inspired Abraham to start inviting people to make the pilgrimage to the sacred house, and people came to him from all over the world, and he taught them all the pillars of the pilgrimage that we are doing now. God has entrusted his holy house and the service of his pilgrims to Abraham and his son Ishmael.
Muslims still perform the Hajj and visit the Kaaba to this day from all over the world and of various nationalities.
The death of Abraham (peace be upon him)
Our master Abraham (peace be upon him) came out of his house once to inspect the parish, and he was being followed by an old man, the king of death, and our master Abraham saw him and went towards him and asked him, Where Are you from The sheikh replied to him, I am a passerby who is not from this city, so our master Ibrahim took him by the hand and headed towards his house to improve his hospitality, when Our Lady Sarah saw him, she immediately knew that this old man is the king of death, so she cried very much. Our master Isaac came in on his mother Sarah and saw her crying with heartburn, so he cried with her, and when the king of death saw them crying, he came out of the house, and our Master Abraham teased them because his guest had come out because of his wife and son, and reproached them for their crying, which led to the guest leaving the house, and he came out of the house heading to a small house dedicated to worship, and he was surprised that the guest was sitting in this house, and Khalil Allah was surprised a lot, and he told the guest, how to enter a house without asking permission! And the guest said, O Abraham, I am the king of death. Our master Abraham asked him for a guide, and the king of death told him to turn his face away from him, and our master Abraham did this, and returned to turn to him, to find him in his form, in which the souls of the prophets and the righteous are captured, a beautiful and comfortable image. The king of death repeated his request that Abraham turn his face away from him, and when our master Abraham looked back at him, he found him on the body in which the souls of unbelievers and hypocrites are captured, so he fainted, and when the king of death found him in this state, he turned away from him.
The next day, Abraham went out as usual to check the conditions of the parish, and he found a senior old man, so he took him to a house to do the duty of hospitality with him, and presented him with a vase containing grapes, and Allah's Prophet Abraham noticed that the old man, because of his old age, could not chew grapes and eat it without polluting his beard with grape water because of the difficulty of chewing, and Abraham
asked him about his age, He said that my age was (number...) and it was the same as that of our master Abraham, and therefore our master Abraham asked God to capture his soul, and not to reach this stage of old age, and thus our master Abraham would be the first to wish for death.
