Introduction
Allah sent the prophets as missionaries and admonishers, and sent with them messages and miracles that support the truthfulness of their statements and their contact with the Lord of the worlds and his revelation, but the prophets of Allah were met with disbelief and ingratitude from their people, for many reasons, including: They used to associate with Allah Almighty, idolatry or others, so monotheism weighed on them, the other reason is that the interests of some people are contrary to righteousness and religion, such as material interests and other whims that they prefer to obey and please Allah among the prophets who struggled in the way of Allah and tried to take their people to the satisfaction of Allah and his madness is the prophet of Allah Lot (peace be upon him).
Their Place
The people of Lot inhabited the area of Sodom in the villages of Jordan, which is said to be in the place of the Dead Sea now, and Allah-may he be exalted-sent them the message of monotheism with their prophet lot (peace be upon him), who is the nephew of Abraham Al-Khalil (peace be upon them), so he guided them to monotheism and called them to obey Allah.
His Call
It is stated in the history books that the lineage of Lot (peace be upon him) is: Lot Ibn Harun Ibn Tarah and Tarah is Azer, Lot (peace be upon him) is the nephew of Abraham (peace be upon him), and Lot's name is mentioned more than twenty-five times in the Holy Quran, as the details of his situations with his people were mentioned repeatedly, and the story of Lot began when Allah sent him to his people to teach them to unify Allah and leave the obscenity that was visible in his people and spread a lot, but Lot's people did not respond to his command and did not finish their ugly act they threatened to drive him out of their village, and this was justified only by his purity, purity, and unification, and they told him that.
Allah said: "But the answer of his people was only that they said, ‘Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure.’ " (27:56).
And in this there is a clear stretching, immorality and arrogance, they not only bragged about obscenity, but they hated those who called them to purity and acts of natural instinct, and then challenged their prophet Lot (peace be upon him) to bring them the punishment that he promised them in case of disbelief and the continuation of their sins then Lot called Allah (SWT), to help him and to support his call over the disbelievers.
Abraham's guests and Lot's people
After Lot (peace be upon him) called for victory from Allah Almighty; Allah sent his angels; Gabriel, Israfil and Michael (peace be upon them) to inflict punishment on the disbelievers, where the Angels first passed over the village of Abraham (peace be upon them) before they went to Lot, where they preached to Abraham his son Isaac and his son`s son Jacob (peace be upon them).
They told Abraham that they had come to inflict punishment in the villages of lot's people, so Abraham was afraid and paid attention to that news, and the Angels argued out of fear for his nephew Lot, so the Angels reassured him that Allah would save Lot (peace be upon him), and the rest of the people would perish, including Lot's wife, because she did not follow her husband's message sent by Allah Almighty.
The torment of Lot's people
The Angels came out from Abraham, coming to Lot's village, and they reached the walls of the village, and Lot's daughter was standing filling her bowl of river water, and she lifted up her face and saw them, and one of the Angels asked her: O maid. Is there a house She said [remembering her people]: Stop here, do not enter until I tell my father and I come to you, she hurried towards her father and told him, and Lot rushed running towards strangers, he hardly saw them until he asked them: where did they come from? - And what is their destination? They were silent about his question and asked him to host them.
He said his word to distract them from staying in the village, but they turned a blind eye to what he said and did not comment on it, and he returned walking with them, twisting the neck of the conversation and forcibly forcing it and taking it to the people of the village, he told them that they were malicious and that they were shaming their guests and that they were corrupting in the land, and the conflict was going on inside him trying to reconcile two things, to divert his guests from staying in the village without embarrassing them, and without violating hospitality.
In vain he tried to understand them and hint to them to continue their journey, without disembarking in this village.
Night fell on the city and Lot accompanied his guests to his house, and no one from the people of the city saw them, and his wife first saw the guests until she sneaked out without feeling her, so she hurried to her people and told them the news.
And the news spread like wildfire and Lot's people came rushing to him. Lot asked himself: Who told them?
The people stood at the door of the house, and Lot came out to them and began to preach to them: he said to them: in front of you are the Women-your wives - they are the purest, they fulfill the right instinct, as the Creator-all in Allah - has prepared them for this matter, so fear Allah (he touches their souls from the side of piety after he touched them from the side of instinct) fear Allah and remember that Allah hears, sees, gets angry and punishes, and the wise deserve to guard his anger, and don't shame me in my guest, which is a desperate attempt to touch their elites and traditions, and they should honoring the guest does not expose him.
Isn't there a sane man in you What you want-if it comes true - is the eye of madness.
However, the words of Lot (peace be upon him) did not touch the sick perverted instinct, nor the dead rigid heart, nor the foolish sick mind, the abnormal outburst remained on its impulse.
Lot felt his weakness and he was a stranger among the people displaced to them from afar without a clan protecting him, and no male children defending him, lot entered angrily and closed the door of his house and the strangers he hosted were sitting quietly and silently. Lot was surprised by their calmness and the people's blows on the door increased.
Lot cried out in a moment of suffocating despair and wished that he had the strength to repel them from his guest and wished that he had a strong corner in which to take shelter and shelter.
Lot missed in his distress and anguish that he was sheltering in a severe corner, the corner of Allah, who does not abandon his prophets and guardians.
When the distress reached its peak and the Prophet said his word, his guests moved and suddenly got up, and they said to him, do not be alarmed, lot, and do not be afraid.we are angels, and these people will not reach you.
Then Jabriel (peace be upon him) got up and made a quick gesture with his hand, so the people lost their sight, and the Angels turned to Lot and ordered him to accompany his family during the night and go out and they would hear terrible sounds shaking the mountains, so no one would turn away from them so that what befalls the people would not happen to him.
What kind of torment is this? It is a strange kind of torment; it is enough for one to fall into it just by looking at it.
They understood him that his wife was one of The Strangers, an unbelieving woman like them, and she would turn around behind her and suffer what had befallen them.
Lot asked the Angels: where will Allah send down the punishment for them now they told him that their appointment with the punishment is in the morning.
Lot went out with his daughters and his wife, they walked at night and fed the traffic, and the morning approached, and Lot had gone away with his family.
Then Allah's command came.
Jabreil, peace be upon him, with the tip of his wing uprooted their seven cities from their distant decision and lifted them all high into the sky until the angels heard the sounds of roosters and the barking of their dogs, the seven cities were turned over and went down into the ground and during the fall the sky was raining them with stones from hell, strong solid Stones following each other, marked with their names, and capable of them.
Hell continued to rain on them and the people of Lot completely ended, there was no one left, and the cities collapsed on their heads, and sank into the ground, until the water burst from the Earth and the people of Lot perished and their cities were wiped out.
Lot was hearing terrible voices and was careful to turn around after him.
His wife looked towards the source of the sound and ended up shaking her body and disintegrating like a falling column of salt.
The historians said: the place of the seven cities is a strange Lake, its water is brackish, and the density of the water is greater than the density of salt sea water, and in this lake there are molten mineral rocks that suggest that these stones with which Lot's people were struck were flaming meteors.
The current lake that we know as the "Dead Sea" in Jordan is said to be the former cities of Lot's people.
The page of Lot's people was turned, their cities and names were erased from the earth, they fell out of the memory of life and the living, a page of corruption was folded, and Lot turned to Abraham, visited Abraham, told him the news of his people, and surprised him that Abraham knew.
Lot went on to call on Allah, just as Halim, the father of the Prophet Abraham, went on to call on Allah, and the two went on to spread Islam on Earth.
